This summer we offer activities for young and old! Sommarhäng is of course back, the garden is in full bloom and we have a fantastic summer exhibition about birds in the art hall!
THE CONFERENCE OF THE BIRDS
Exhibit – Thursday and Friday from 11 am to 5 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 11 am to 3 pm until September 1.
The Conference of the Birds is the result of a large Nordic project where artists from four Nordic countries worked on questions about birds’ characteristics, habitat and survival. In a collaboration between Österängen’s art gallery and the Bird Museum, Jönköping, several of the artworks are shown for the first time in a joint exhibition.

The art gallery is closed for the summer during week 30.
Österängens konsthalls shop and café
Thursday-Sunday all summer
Welcome to our cozy cafe, here we sell light lunches and delicious coffee and sweets with a home-baked touch! We want to offer locally grown/organic, Fairtrade and vegetarian café selection with something for everyone. We get our selection from local Kafé Stadsparken Huskvarna, formerly Kafé Braheparken.
In our little shop you will find fantastic gifts for big and small, beautiful gardening books, interior design from small selected designers, arts and crafts from local artists, high quality toys and much much more!
The café and shop are open when the art hall is open, a warm welcome!
Sommarhäng
Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays at 11-15 week. 25-29
This summer, the rolling art hall will appear at Österängen again! All summer, you can come to our trailer outside Birkagården to paint, tinker, grow, build, design and create together with Karin, Milly, Linnea and Maggie!
For all children between 6-12 years, younger children accompanied by an adult.
You will find Sommarhäng outside the yellow trailer on the lawn between Birkagården and the Church on Österängen. Completely free, no pre-registration required!
Garden meetups at ÖK Kolonilott & Skogsträdgård
Drop in on Tuesdays at 15-19 and Fridays at 14-16 week 25-33
Co-cultivate with us! We meet every Tuesday and Friday afternoon at the allotment to cultivate, create community and a wonderful place together. We do different things every week, depending on what the place needs. Gardening and growing together has so many benefits. Not only do we get even more vegetables and flowers, we also get more knowledge, more creativity and more community. It also means less work and less responsibility because we all help each other. ÖK kolonilott is a place where you can both learn new things and test your own ideas. In case of rain, we are inside Österängens Konsthall. No pre-registration or prior knowledge is needed.

One-week day-camp at Öxnehaga with a nature and culture theme 23 – 26 July
For those who are 6-12 years old. Tuesday – Friday at 11-15 at Öxnegården. No pre-registration, always free!
