Österängens Konsthall’s operations manager Johanna Linder is awarded the 2020 Dynamostipedium of SEK 150,000 by the Visual Artists’ Fund (Bildkonstnärsfonden). The Dynamo scholarship goes to a person who works in direct contact with artists and builds dynamic relationships with the local audience, a person who fights for visions that become reality.

The Visual Artists’ Fund’s motivation is as follows:
“After many years as a journalist, Johanna Linder decided to start working with art and art-based situations. Her curiosity and drive opens new doors to questions about how society develops in interaction with culture, politics and emotions. Johanna Linder was the initiator of Österängen’s Konsthall (which opened in 2015) and has since the start acted as operations manager. Österängens Konsthall, is a place for people and contemporary art located in a suburban area in Jönköping. The art hall has since the start presented a qualitative and experimental program with a focus on interaction and a relational approach to the audience: here everyone has the opportunity to be in contact with art, and act along side it. The view of art and the public space has changed in Jönköping thanks to the cultural commitment that comes from Johanna Linder’s work with Österängen’s Konsthall. ”

– I am extremely grateful and happy for this scholarship. says Johanna Linder. It is a receipt, proof, for all of us here at Österängens Konsthall that our work makes a difference, says Johanna Linder.
